Rustic Tan wild Deer watch strap

This is truly something special. The warm rustic look of the leather is the best I have ever found, after years of looking. Combined with the hatch grain added to the leather makes it the perfect vintage/ rustic looking strap that shouts beauty.

The deer's that this vegetable tanned deerskin come from live wild in the deep forests and higher altitude scrubland of Mid Europe. Small artisan tanners and curriers working in the valley bottoms using clean unadulterated mountain stream water, pit tan the skins over many months. A rich fat liquoring follows aniline dye loads yielding this mellow crusted leather in a sunburnt Mediterranean Tan.

As with all my straps I personally make each strap to order to ensure that it is finished to the best standards and can allow for bespoke sizes and requests. I use only traditional craft techniques and no machines in their creation. I hand cut and stitch every part. Although all this is labor intensive, the end result is worth all the effort when I have created something unique and beautiful that will be used.

Details:
The strap shown in the picture is 20mm at the lug tapered to 16mm at the buckle and is of the standard size 115mm/ 75mm.
The stitching is done in a contrasting off white coloured waxed linen thread.
I use Zermatt leather for the lining which is sweat resistant (great in summer) and hypoallergenic.
The Edges are smoothed and then coloured. They are finished off with bees wax that is used to burnish the edges, giving a smooth silky finish.

Straps will be tapered as standard to fit these buckle sizes: *can be custom tapered on request.

Small sized band 105/70 will fit a 6-inch wrist
